Working with Ballet Next allowed me to refine my dance photography in a way that had never before been possible.  During their rehearsals I was allowed to photograph from anywhere on the dance floor. I was considered part of the company; almost another dancer, working through the choreography with the rest of the company. Taking pictures while among the dancers, often only inches way and they flew through the studio, changes how a photographer sees the dance. I no longer saw the dance from the outside, as would any viewer, but from within the dance.  The emotion is so different from that place. I've never performed as a dancer but I left the experience with the feeling that I have danced.
