The fourth issue of VISION magazine is the first to show visual imagery by artists other than myself. Photographer, Gordon Munro and mixed media artist, Valerie Sonnenthal are each featured on ten pages in the magazine. It's unlikely I would have photographed dance if it were not for these two people. I worked for Gordon for almost 5 years as his black and white printer but it was my exposure to dancers in his studio during his work for Danskin that convinced me photographing dancers had to be part of my life.  Valerie curated the first exhibition of my dance photography in 1982 at the Dance Theater Workshop gallery.  That exhibition gave my photography a purpose and direction. It helped turn something that was still a personal project into a real career, still going strong over 30 years later.
