The cover story for VISION's fifth issue is a photo essay on the Boston Ballet's performance of Jirí Kylián's Bella Figura, with essays written by Artistic Director Mikko Nissinen and dancers Rie Ichikawa and Kathleen Breen Combes. Bella Figura is one of the most artistic dances I have photographed in my 35 years as a photographer. "Dancers/Artists" is a series of 5 photo essays; four featuring dancers who also excel at a second art form and the fifth, a story about two photographers working with a dancer for the first time. The magazine finishes with an eight page article on Jacqulyn Buglisi's Table of Silence, a memorial to the events of 9/11 performed with a cast of over 150 dancers. VISION 2:3 is 40 pages.
