There are few dances that can be compared to Jacqulyn Buglisi's Table of Silence. By accident, I sometimes call this dance, dedicated to the events of 9/11, "The Temple of Silence." Photographing in a rehearsal studio, with over 100 dancers dressed in white, absorbed in their thoughts and movements, it feels like I am in the spiritual confines of an ancient temple. The Table of Silence was first performed in 2010 and has been performed on 9/11 for the past 5 years. Each year I have joined the dancers in the rehearsal studio as they learn the choreography and discover their spirituality through the heart and soul of Jacqulyn Buglisi.
